ATMET has immediate openings for a full-time Scientist and a Software Engineer to assist with a variety of atmospheric numerical modeling tasks, including development of operational systems, code development, and use of models and related software in several applications. The Scientist position will focus on meteorological modeling aspects; the Software Engineer will focus on

Scientist position requirements:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in atmospheric science or related field
- Excellent knowledge of Fortran and Unix/Linux
- Experience in mesoscale numerical modeling (preferably with RAMS or
LAPS, although MM5, WRF, etc. will be considered)
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident


Software Engineer position requirements:
- Programming experience with SQL databases
- Programming experience in C, Fortran, and/or various scripting languages
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux
- Knowledge of a scientific field (meteorlogy, oceanography, applied physics, chemistry) very helpful
- Must be US citizen or permanent resident


The positions are expected to be for 3 years, which may be extended
depending on funding. Salary commensurate with experience. The work will be done in the ATMET offices near Boulder, CO,
